| A/C | | Toyota MR2 MK1 N/A - Car cuts off when A/C switched on | | Recently my neighbor charged my A/C. A/C ran fine for 2 days, now if you cut the car on and switch the A/C on the engine shuts off immediately. There is a clicking noise coming from the engine. Is the compressor blown?? Any other problem would prob. be better! Please Help - Fix/Recommendation |

It has a white plastick adjustment nob held in place with a spring. This is your idle up for the ac. Check it out electricly as well as making sure all the vacuum lines are correct.
good luck

| Fix / Recommendation submitted by Arturo Gomez - rexnfex32@yahoo.com on 11/04/2008 | | Hi, I noticed you had the same problem im having. A couple months ago i was running my car when suddenly my AC stop blowing cold air but still running and at the same time my rpm needle began jumping up and down sometimes out of control every now and then. For several weeks I suspected that maybe I just needed to refill the AC but then suddenly a couple of weeks later my car battery began to drain even when it was off. And now AC dont work but when i click the AC button i get those clicking noises coming from the engine. I have checked all fuses and they look good. Just wondering if you fixed your problem because im having the same. any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a 1993 MR2 non turbo |
