Towing
The car tows great, its as if there's nothing on the back, you MUST remember this...trailors can't handle as well as MR2's!

Must change that aweful number plate for a correctly sized import one.

HKS Induction Kit
For improved throttle response and to get rid of that huge standard air box.....

Gearbox Change
A while ago I started to get the 5th gear popout syndrome. Not good!!!
I had owned the car about 7-8 months by this time and the gearbox was gradually getting noisier.
It was services a couple of months after I had it so i'd assumed the gearbox oil had been checked.....Do NOT assume anything......I decided to check it myself.
I bought a top up bottle and proceeded to top up.......after three top ups I decided the gearbox was just about dry :o((
No wonder it had been getting noisy/sticky, especially on long trips.

I bought a re-con box from Fensport and decided to fit a new clutch while I was at it. This is not a job for the faint hearted, it will take you a whole weekend if you haven't done it before.

One tip: If you buy a re-con check the locating pins, I had a locating pin in the engine and also the gearbox in the same place and it took about 5 hours to figure out why the gearbox wouldn't locate correctly!

White Dials
Lockwood white dials.
They are not easy to fit and you'll probably end up have one or two of the arms pinging off. Then you will have to do numerous test drives to get them set correctly!
The night time colouring is not particularly nice unless you like orange and turqouise!!
But they do look nice during the day.

Sparco Pedals
Remove the old rubber covers from the pedals.
Put a lump of wood behind the pedal and drill the holes, as simple as that, although I had to find some longer bolts to go through the accelerator pedal as there are extra bits of metal behind this one.
Look and feel good.

Momo Gearknob
Stainless, feels great and I do believe it gives a better gearchange.

Lockwood kickplates
Stick on chrome kickplates.

Facelift Rear light and centre plate.
Fairly straight forward to fit, does involve a bit of panel beating though, so if you don't want to hit your car don't attempt it.
Stage 1: Remove side indicator reflectors - This is done by putting a flat headed screwdriver between the plastic light cluster frame and the reflector for removal.
lever from the furthest point back and run the driver up the reflector. The part should lever forward and pop out.
Stage 2: Remove Full cluster - Once the reflector is removed you will see two philips screws, remove these and the cluster should just pull out.
Stage 3: Do the other side!
Stage 4: Centre panel removal - From inside the boot, pull the carpet from the back of the car. You should see 4 of nuts (2 hidden behind the metalwork), remove these then the panel should come off.
Stage 5: The new wiring loom is different to the old one so either remove the old one from the old clusters making a note of which bulb is which and fit to the new cluster. Stage 6: Cut the reversing light wire as this will need wiring to the centre panel.
Stage 7: Change the locating clips from clips to bars (you'll see what I mean) and refit new clusters
Stage 8: Now for the nasty bit, the centre panel - Drill a whole for the reversing lights. Get a hammer and beat the metalwork back so that the reversing light housing will fit.
Stage 9: Fit fixing brackets and then centre panel.
Stage 10: Check wiring.
Stage 11: Refit carpet, stand back and admire your handy work!
Stage 12: Notice that you forgot to fit the new lock which is longer, remove the centre panel again, change lock mechanism for your old one so you can use it and refit everything again.

4 Wheel Alignment
This made a world of difference and all for £42, not bad really!
