Toyota MR2 MK1 N/A - Body Problems submitted by florence hewitt on 24/11/2009 | | Here a club member based in Cambridge with a serious body problem on a 1988 white T Bar.
1) Beteween the Tbar roof and the windscreen, the fine body part is so rusted that there is a hole. I use regularly a little garage in Kettering which is quite good for special works without big brand prices. But they are very afraid of changing this metal bar as they might broke the glass. I don't know how to find the part neither how to have it change it safely.
2) The rear panel of the rear boot has an enormous rust hole by which water find its way too. I speak of the body part just above the plate, in which there is the lock for the boot. I assume it has to be changed but then again, don't know how to find the part.
Any idea ? Thank you,
