| In car audio | | Toyota MR2 MK1 N/A - This might help you all out by the sounds of things.. | | I have a late edition 89 F reg MK1. I managed to fit 4" (10cm) speakers in the rear panels - alot of work as you need to remove ALL paneling and the seatbelts!!! The paneling doesnt fit correctly afterwards unless you can get some very thin magnets on those speakers. Tweeters run down onto the back plastic supporting the rear windscreen. BUT WAIT THERES MORE - the best part is a 1600 watt predator jet sound amp under the passenger seat and Kenwood 12" subs in custom made boxes behind both chairs. Slight problem - the chair will not go back on all runners so if youre long legged then you might need a different box we built but doesnt sound as good. But it can be done and you recieve a lovely back massage as you drive. If you need your tunes and love the bass then this is the best way to go, as i did have a 6" clarion unit under the chair but it just didnt cut the mustard. | In car audio | | Toyota MR2 MK2 Turbo - Missing 15-pin plug for 3-in-1 OEM radio | | I bought my '91 MR2 Turbo used. One of the previous owners installed an after-market radio. I located a 3-in-1 OEM radio but my car is missing the wiring harness with the 15-pin plug that slides into the back of the OEM radio. Toyota used to sell a Theft Kit to solve this problem but the part is discontinued. Any ideas on how I can install the OEM radio? |

| In car audio | | Toyota MR2 MK3 - Sony WX-c570r | | ever since I bought my car, my radio has never worked. The only things that do work is the cd player, the volume and bass button. Every other button doesn't work. I have attempted to reset the thing but it hasn't worked. Toyota don't seem to want to help, just told me to buy a new one?!?!? but everythings fixable. Any one had the same problem and got it resolved? or knows how to resolve it. Would be much appreciated. |
