| Starting | | Toyota MR2 MK1 N/A - cold start problem | | PLEASE HELP! , does any one know why my 1988 mk1 wont start when what seems to be on cold or damp mornings , has got nice stronge spark and fuel seems to be going through has pressure in the fuel lines , it has new plugs and leads fitted , when i do get it to start after many many tries and with the throttle fully down ! only way it will it splutters for a bit then runds and drives very well no missing or spluttering , it very odd! has anyone else had the same problen and no how to sort it thanks any help would be good cheers |

| Starting | | Toyota MR2 MK1 N/A - Starter motor does not work properly after engine has warmed up | | My MK1 starts easily when cold but after the motor has warmed up to normal operating temperature it can be very difficult to restart. The starter turns over very slowly. I have checked the wiring to the starter motor and there is no evidence of any corrosion or poor contacts |
| Starting | | Toyota MR2 MK2 Turbo - Ecu Problem | | I had my car running on my drive on ramps then all of a sudden it cut out. now it won't start, and the engine management light is on, i've checked it for its code like another website told me to, and it is code 14. does anyone know anything about code 14, if so help is much needed. cheers. |

| Starting | | Toyota MR2 Other - Starting engine problem | | I went to start my car this morning and aux. lights came on but car would not start....nothing. Thought maybe I did not push clutch in all the way and tried again. This time it started. Upon leaving my office for lunch, same thing happened. Then leaving lunch to return to office, same thing. Clutch is in all the way but it takes a while before it decides to start. Please help!! Battery is 1 year old and a very good battery. Car has 79,000 miles on it. Usually runs great, no problems. |

| Starting | | Toyota MR2 Other - wont start | | i need help my car has no spark its been running rich and then one day it got icey that hte gas padl was froz so i had someone start it and i open the intake it was running at low rpms so i let is sit to warm up. i went in side and come back out and it had shut off and then it wouldnt start so i pulled a plug and it is not getting any spark. it is a 93 mr2 with a 2.2. |
