|i brought an mr2 with the same problem and on mine i had to send the window down and with a torch look into the door from above at the locking mechanism and if you get a coat hanger (small metal one) and bend a tight loop on it and on the lock you should see a bar from the keylock to the locking mech and give it a pull up (i think it was up as it was about 6 mths ago) with the bar and you will probibly find out that there is a little spring that has snapped and that is what was the matter with mine.

|Central locking still works, but I am unable to open drivers door. I am unable to move the door lining to gain enough room for entry, although levers from both inside and out appear to be moving respective rods. Any suggestions, please bear in mind that I have very little knowledge. Reluctant to call in an expert as they will no doubt destroy the door and charge me a fortune. - Fix/Recommendation||
