Battery
Toyota MR2 MK1 N/A - BATTERY READING???
i don't know if it's electrical or what? while i'm driving for the first couple minutes it's off..but as i drive they turn on/off/on/off then just stays on. yesterday, my MR2 just stopped in the freeway and battery just died. i replaced it with a new battery, i drove it today, and my brother said if the battery dies again (withing 2-3 days), then it might be the alternator. how do i know if the battery is being charged properly. there is a gauge but the meter reads on the low side... - Fix/Recommendation

the volt meter on the dash board should be near the top end. if youve got a portable volt meter you can attach it to the batter whilst it running to check. should be above 14v if i remember right. id have to check. From the sounds of it, your alternator isnt charging the battery properly. so a new battery will work for a couple of days till that is drained by the injectors, spark plugs, abs etc. go to a garage and ask them to check it over. if your lucky only the brushes will have to replaced which is the cheapest option. Ive had this exact same problem myself. was a pain to sort out. the garage i bought mine from kept trying to fob me off with excuses that it was a bad battery.
