| A/C | | Toyota MR2 MK2 Turbo - ify air con. | | 91 turbo.Air con only comes on when it feels like it.I can leave switch pressed in for days and now and then,usually at a standstill i hear a click,the revs rise and it is working.It then switches itself off after a few mins.System has been re charged and all fuses and relays are ok.I have fitted a replacement compressor clutch but no change.Is there a control box for the a/c hidden somewhere? any help would be much appreciated. - Fix/Recommendation |

| Fix / Recommendation submitted by Alan - wicked-remove-this-gtr1@cox.net on 08/06/2005 | | Ive had a similar problem, it was a way over-charged ac system. too much pressure was triping the saftey... so if its really hot out high pressure switch wont let it run, and when you idle it with fans on, it may cool down the condensor enough to turn on, until the pressure builds up too much.
