| Fix / Recommendation submitted by Greg Haselden - gregg9696@yahoo.com on 10/07/2005 | | I am back again. I found a cheaper way to troubleshoot your a/c amplifier. Go to the google search engine. Type in "Phil Fournier Toyota A/C". An article will appear about "bewilding a/c probles with toyotas." |
| Fix / Recommendation submitted by Greg Haselden - gregg9696@yahoo.com on 10/07/2005 | | I am currently having ac problems with my 98 Rav 4. It could possible be the ac controller. It is a computer chip with 10 inputs/outputs and a ground. Appears that computer or an input to it could cause the problem. You will probably have to diagnose it or find someone good with electronics to look at it. I found an explanation on www.autofourumz.com under Toyota-Trouble-Tercel. This is the hard ac to diagnose. In fact, it is the hardest that I have worked on. Most acs are simple to diagnose. If you are interested in diagnosing yourself, Toyota sells their diagnostic manuals. Some are $50. Newer models get expensive $150. Toyota gives you access to their diagnostics book over the internet for $10 a day.Maybe this helps. |
